Despite the popularity of the laserharp with audiences, the drumwall is the backbone of SitM. This is where the rhythm section does its work and the concept of the light-up drumwall was the first thing we attempted to build in 1999. The drumwall depicted in these photos are version 4.0. Unlike the previous iterations, this one is logistically much easier to deal with. The improvements are: it is fully modular, the LEDs are ten times brighter, the software is improved, the MIDI triggering is ugraded and the sculpture is more dynamic.
Our MIDI triggers in this instruments were provided to us by Pintech. SitM is one of Pintech’s sponsored acts.
