One of the signs that EDM has finally hit the mainstream was during NBC’s telecast of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. NBC used songs from Vegas on the intros and outros to and from commercial in the swimming coverage of Michael Phelps’ pursuit of 8 gold medals.
