Gelarah spent her formative years growing up in Iran during the chaos of the Iran-Iraq War. For whatever reason she emerged from it with a keen spatial and aesthetic sense which is easily evidenced in her work. She emigrated to the United States so that she could follow her heart as an artist, something she could not do so freely in her native country which is still under strict Islamist rule.

Soul in the Machine is excited to be working with such a talent in the future.
